SMRITIVAN EARTHQUAKE MEMORIAL AND MUSEUM | BHUJ, GUJARAT
Created for the bereaved families of the 2001 Bhuj earthquake victims, Smritivan, or the forest of memories, is the largest memorial and museum in India. Spread across more than 470 acres; it is situated atop the Bhujiyo Dungar on the outskirts of Bhuj. It shares a part of its boundary with the 300-year-old Bhujia fort. A unique place built for reflection and solace, Smritivan lauds the resilience of the people of Bhuj.
